Work on Manufacturing-X, which is funded by the federal government, is still in its early stages. Under the umbrella of the Industry 4.0 platform, large corporations, medium-sized companies and associations are developing a concept for digitizing supply chains in industry. Phoenix Contact, as part of the consortium, is actively involved in the development of Manufacturing-X and is already offering technological solutions that enable uniform communication between systems across industry and national borders.
